The rules that actually apply here
A rooftop system is a fixed installation notified under G98 or G99. MCS certification of the product and the installer is separate, and is what a supplier requires before paying an export tariff under the Smart Export Guarantee. Nothing in SI 2026/848 applies here.
The register
The inverter or PV device has been type tested against G98 or G99 — the engineering rules for generating alongside the grid, including the anti-islanding test. We mirror the Energy Networks Association’s register daily, keep a record of what changes, and give every entry a page of its own with a permanent URL — which is the part their own search cannot do.
Where the register stops. This register covers the equipment. It is not the MCS product register and it is not the MCS installer register, and it is MCS certification — not this — that a supplier asks for before paying you a Smart Export Guarantee tariff.

Why there are no systems here yet
Wattcheck started on plug-in solar because that register is new, short, and nobody had connected it to what is actually on sale. The register side of rooftop solar is live today; the shopping side is not built, and we would rather say so than show an empty table that reads as though nobody sold anything.
