What this tells you

The device has been through a G98 type test — the engineering rules for equipment generating alongside the grid. The test that matters most is anti-islanding: when the grid goes down, the device has to stop feeding it.

We publish no verdict here. The register carries a status field whose meaning we have asked the Energy Networks Association to confirm and have not had confirmed — every plug-in solar device on it, including all eleven currently marked as not compliant, shows a completed full G98 type test. We are not going to print an unexplained word next to a named manufacturer. Everything above is the register’s own factual record, dated and linked.

The rules that apply

SI 2026/848 opened a plug-in microgenerator route from 27 August 2026: solar only, 800W AC or less, no battery, connected by plug and socket. A kit outside that route is not unlawful — it may be perfectly fine as a fixed installation under G98 or G99. It simply is not a plug-in microgenerator.
